i dont know what cam kits you use but i dont cross my fingers during break ins. i just get bored sitting there for 20 minutes.
thats 20 minutes i could be driving around with my new mill.
87442 i do agree that roller prices are ridiculous.
cam-300 (not so bad)
lifters-300 (what! 300 dollars for lifters with wheels?)
cam button- ok so thats pretty cheap
still 600+ just for a roller cam kit is just stupid. but i paid for one and im happy.

I guess they charge that much cause the cams dont tend to kill themselves

I dont know maybe they just need heavier pockets?!?

I think it was a deep-seated inferiority because it was shorter than its peers.

I think all the other lobes ganged up on the the one lobe, and killed it before they realized, they where siamese twins, so the one dead lobe killed the rest of the cam.
Oh sweet revenge.

Man that felt kinda dumb writing that. LOL

I think the cam bearings were putting the cam under too much peer presure along with the lifter that got somewhat attached to the cam, the little cam just could'nt take it But he went out with a bang spreading metal pieces everywhere!

lol

Removing camshaft

Ladies and gentlemen,
First of all, thank you all for the outstanding professionalism on this site. Ok, I too am removing a camshaft to upgrade...stock SBC 350, no history of any problems (rebuilt about 10k ago). I was having the same problem of the cam not pulling out, read the posts, removed the fuel pump and shaft and the cam still doesn't want to come out. It pulls out about 1/4" and stops. Whats gives? Or rather-whats NOT giving? This is a father-son project so I don't wanna screw this up!!!!! The pressures on!

Thanks in advance!
