i need alil help with setting up the right fue system..i have a 496 with a big 105 carb.. i need heklp and advice for the correct fuel pump, size of the fuel line.. right now i have the stock tank but eventually this will be switched out...but even when i switch it out a need some advice on a good tank
sorry bout that yea its a 1050cfm carb....im tryning to build a 496 that makes b/w 600 - 650 hp...its got arf 325 head, no cam selected but it will be a solid roller.looking at intakes now havent decided, 10.2:1 cr(srp pistons)...the rear end is tock 10 wit 3.73s but this will break and will get a ford 9" or strong 12bolt..
Go to the link for information. FYI, I'm running an 8-71 383, two BG 750 BC's, and use an AN-10 line from the fuel cell through a BG 220R pump to the regulator, and two AN-8 lines to each carb, then an AN-10 return line.
Naturally aspirated, at least a 150 gph electric pump with 12-20 psi, and at least a 1/2" fuel line from pump to engine, and 5/8" from tank to pump/filter. You will need to add a sump to the stock tank.
If you add nitrous, it should have it's own complete system.
