Help on wet-sanding

Can anybody give me some tips on wet-sanding a 1967 Mercury Cougar? The body is straight with no dents, just surface rust. Thanks

Pretty much, just get after it by hand right? Any suggestions on preperation, paper, sanding that you could give me would be helpful? This is my first project. I'm not expecting it to be show quality, just decent. Thanks.............. By the way very nice Charger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to discourage or criticize but, if you ask a question like how to wet sand rust you should do some homework first before you just get after it. And, while wet sanding is done by hand, after you have painted the vehicle, almost all sanding before that can be done with the assistance of tools.
