Hemi powered crime fighters
The 2005 Dodge Magnum SXT will be used by the cops starting Sept. 5th.
Looks like the long arm of the law will be drivin' Hemis soon! http://www.thewebnewsroom.com/news/f...car-hemi.shtml Mike |

Sweet! I'd almost look forward to getting pulled over by one of those. Reminds me of a few years back, when they used Z28s and Mustang GTs.

Might as` well make Cop cars out of those Magnums.............they are too ugly to be anything else.
As for the Hemi....................blah, blah, blah................

Hemi? Read the article "The standard 3.5-liter High Output V-6 engine featured on the 2006 Dodge Magnum police package vehicle delivers 250 horsepower and 250 lb-ft. of torque for great police performance." Wow slow and less ground clearance than my honda accord, sounds almost useless for a police vehicle. The Hemi is an extra cost that only state police would probably get if they decide to change from the Crown Vic.
Bring back the Caprice! |

"Dodge dominated the police car business throughout the 1960s, '70s and early '80s, and we're proud to continue our police car heritage with even more performance technology."
BS! The 1980's police cars were dominated by Buick regal 4 doors, Olds cutlass supreme 4 doors, chevy caprise 4 doors and last but not least 4 door crown vics. I never remember seeing a dodge police car in the 80's ![]() Another thing, this MDS fuel system crap, it's total bs. I remember the window stickers from a mid 80's 442 reading 18 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. Those V-8 cars with MDS seem to be getting even lower than that! I just dont get it?!? |
