Cool Hemi VS Cobra Jet

I think both the 426 Hemi engine and the 429 Cobra Jet engine were great. But head to head which did better overall? Which would YOU want at the dragstrip?

The Hemi for sure I had one in a '72 cuda factory drag car awesome ride make you wet your pants in heartbeat she had a speedo that read 260 she do every penny plus wasn't anything around that could touch her in a quarter or open highway. took her to the local dragstrip made one pass and was told to put it back on the trailer and take it home no one could race with me. I'd like to see A Ford do that :p

well as far as Im conserned and past knowledge the hemi will out torque any factory motor except for the cadillac 500 ci
the 429 is known to bee weak in a racing forum and tends to breakas far as a 72 cuda with a big block being asked to be put back on a trailor I doubt it here in the cincinnati area we drive on the street cars capable of running low 8"s at 160 in the 1/4 and we are allowed to race no offence just a observation
