Bidding early on E-bay just drives the price up.
Decide how much you want to spend. Bid as close to the end bid time as the speed of your internet connection will allow you to get a bid in at the last moment.

Seems like everyone wants 2 B a sniper when it comes to Ebidding

For myself, I just decide up front what is the absolute MAX I will pay for that item. Assume for a second that I wanted this car and I was willing to pay $75,000 (I'm not - I don't want it) then I'd just enter an "up to $75,000" bid and let matters take their course. Check again in a day or two after bids have closed and see if I got it and how much I paid.(Or how much it was worth to someone else)

I refuse to get caught up in auction madness where "I gotta beat that other dude no matter what it costs"

LOL, it sure is cool when it's your item is the one the madness is all about! LOL I bought a vintage engine for a cousin of mine where someone else HAD to have it. It went up way more than we thought, WAY more and we got it. When the seller contacted me he said that the other guy I was bidding against was crazy pizzed, he was livid. LOL, the seller sure was happy!

Have you ever heard of "Auction raptor". It's pretty neat, I have used it for a while and it is pretty effecitive.
