It's cold here too, -20 Celcius yesterday. Just checking tire pressure is a chore because not one gas station has an air pump that isn't frozen. Washing the car is a waste because you have to park in a heated garage just to dry out the car or everything will freeze. My Garage heater runs continuously just to keep it +10 Celcius.

And to add insult to injury the polar bears went on strike today, I guess there won't be any garbage pickup until the dispute is resolved.

Damn polar bears. :p

Naaah
can't believe you guys complaining for a little ice in your cola!
I'm in Sardinia (oblong island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea halfway between Spain and Sicily) and flowers are in full bloom, teenage girls in short Tshirts with their navel showing, easy 60F (16-17C) and the sun is shining lazy through a hazy sky...
Gotta wax my surfboard, tide's coming...
Joking aside guys, one proper question, I'm looking for a basic set of NASCAR rules, just an idea to understand why US makes can race but European makes which have been selling for 50+ years may not, i.e. Mercedes or BMW to name two .
Please feel free to email me direct, two or three basic principles will be more than enough
Thanks
Maurizio from Italy

You will never believe the sight just outside my window right now...there are three polar bears sitting around a barrel fire with big placards that say "Sniff you own Damn Garbage". Can you believe that!

Lesson one in life, don't let animals unionize.

OK thanks for the "North American Stock Car Auto Racing", kinda knew that already, but then if I wanted to drop a SB V8 into a tonka toy how many would I have to produce in the US to be eligible to race? It seems to me Honda &co. have been assembling cars in the US for the last 20years+, and if a standard model is good enough for 250hp/150mph+ then I suppose the official racer could well sport 500hp/200mph and last 500 miles.
As for NESCAR, ha ha very funny, I'd like to see last year's NASCAR champ lap a full race on any European twisty circuits. I accept they are different championships for different cars to different rules, just wanted to know what turns a standard model into a NASCAR racer, understand the difference with the Euripean counterpart.
P.S. I did try the nascar.com website, found everything BUT the rules!
So where do I look?:-)
And how do I paste a pic alongside my handle in the BBS?

It has to be a Domestic Production model to be eligible to race that and roughly a cool Million $$$ for expenses to be able to run with the big boys.
