Hey Malc !!!

The monte python stickers left yesterday. Should hit Spain on Wednesday next week !!
They are on a new state of the art 3M vinyl. Its a low tack vinyl thats easily repositioned, UNTIL you squeegee it down. Then it bursts the micro adhesive bubbles, which gives it its solid adhesion. Even has micro channels so you don't get air bubbles! Technology today !!

Thanks again,
Jeff

Man, talk about getting behind on a project!

The cage was certified (for 8.50 or slower) a few months ago, but I FINALLY finished the X bracing for the rear bars, added support tubes for the rear shock towers to tie into the X brace, and the front strut bars. The car will EASILY pass 7.50, if I put the funny car drivers bars in. The car won't go that fast, so I won't bother.
The floors are done.
The front end was stripped completely. New tie rods, idle, drag link, a arms, rotors, calipers, bearings.
Almost ready to paint the inside, so I can install the tubs, and tin the car. WOot Woot !!

The nose, tail and trunk lid should be here soon. I have a few patch panels to make and install, then I can paint this rod!! Motor will be going to machinist next week. Heads are at porter's, getting cut. Should be a week or so on those. Its looking more like end of August before it makes its debut. If I can get some paint on the inside, and the roll bars this weekend, I'll snap some pics, and post them up.

Jeff

I was beginning to wonder, I´ve been checking your journal and saw no updates.
Did the stickers come out okay, line width, color etc. ?

NHRA "Pro" class. Used to be called Pro Sportsman. Basically, its an ET Footbrake class that runs 9 seconds and slower.

On the motor, should see 9.50's, easily. With 200hp hit of laughing gas, should see 9 flat @ 155 or so.

I am anticipating the car to end up at around 2600# without me.
Fiberglass nose, hood, trunk, doors, and tail assembly.
steel rear quarters, and front fenders (for now)
12 point cage
33-14-14 rear tires
4.56 gears/powerglide
496/ Merlin3 Ported heads/.750/.750 roller cam/13.8:1/1050 dominator

Hey Jeff,
The high tech vinyl Python stickers arrived today

I´ll have to guard them, the lad might get to them, he loves stickin´stickers.
