Welcome to hotrodders. Lots of knowledgeable guys that hang around here to help you in your quest. Everything from do it yourselfers. collision repairers, to restoration shop owners, paint suppliers, ect. Home brew is right, lots of info already in the knowledge base, and a vast number of topics have already been covered in past threads. All I can say is the prep put in is a going to amount to a good deal of the final outcome. The actual painting is only a small part and its a journey of lots of muscle and sweat to get there. Get rid of all outdated materials and poorly done repairs, take your time to get things right, use modern 2k materials, read product sheets on how to use those products and follow them, and ask a few questions along the way, and you should be okay. Everyone has some of their own ways to do things, but a few will be able to guide you on your way.
