I have the same question for the 43430 gun.

Need suggested pressures for

Urethane
Base
Clear
Primer

Because, everytime I use it and get a good pattern with good atomization, my pressure makes the gun shoot like the old style with LOTS of overspray.

The "suggested" pressures would be just a ball-park anyway. Do some tests before you shoot.

2Long, Thats the nature of the purple gun. You'll need around 40-45 for it to spray right reguardless of "what" your shooting and that's "conventional' land.
Otherwise, You can back the pressure down but you'll end up with a smaller fan & pattern and have to go slower.
Another reason I switched to Iwata.

There's a website around that talks about setting up the purple gun... I'll check my archives. As I recall, I set mine to 30 - 35 psi inlet pressure with the trigger pulled all the way back and air flowing through the gun.

Shooting PPG K36 build primer I am running 45 lbs. and this is at about 10% reduction. Same for my epoxy. If I don't reduce it shots like hell, but hey its a thirty dollar gun...

Don't know about settings for topcoat yet, shot one thing with my 2nd purple gun and it came ok just ok, need to do more setup.
