Hi!

Just joined so I can start getting some opinions on different things. My husband and I are restoring a 1977 Vette...for "me"! At least that is what he says! This will be our first of many cars, I hope!
I am really enjoying the process but most of all the purchasing as I am the official buyer . I get to buy all the nice parts. With this though comes a lot of time researching bc before I buy I need to know everything about what I am buying, the competing brands, etc. I not only read about parts but also about processes. What process has worked better for who, why, etc.
With this said, I hope you all will put up with my questions and hope to see you post some opinions!

Thanks!
Annemarie

The Vette...
Like I said..it's in progress . Mine will not be extreme powerhouse but 500hp should be good enough :p.
We had to get a new block as the original was cracked and even though I do want to look into the lock-n-stitch we went ahead and bought a seasoned blocked already bored over. We have a custom cam with a 4-7 swap, coil overs, th200-4r trans, 6 piston brakes, vintage air, custom flares, etc. Told you I had fun buying :p.
Regarding the back window....I a, moding that too, got a removable rear window from a 72 Vette and will be putting that in.
Currently we are working on a custom rack and pinion. The engine as you see is mocked up. So next, I think, we will try to fit the vintage air to see if we have to plug up anything on the firewall and then we will strip the body and start the fiberglass work to add the custom quarter panels (flares).
