Thanks for the correction, you got me on that. I didn't know canadian specs were different. When did they go to ECM controlled spark curve in Canada?? It was '83 here in the States on cars.

87 88 or 89 A bit of cross over there. I know by 89-90 carbs were gone.

Anyways my distributer is hei carb stock 43 weights, mild springs brings timing in around 2800rpm the cars I have are the 4010 knock off summits one is a 600, the other a 750 the 600 seems to have better snap at throttle but lean with choke (little pops and crap like backfir cold) the 750 is a bit big I think seems to like the cold better (it was 50F yesterday) bUT the 750 has a large pv valve.. 9.5hg 6.5 in the back jets 77/ 79 the 600 has 6.5 pv 67 73 jets. Timng is about 10 hooked to full vacuum port. I want to use the 750 but everyone says that max cu inch 355 x max rpm 5800 divided by 3456 gets me to a 570 cfm or 600 rounded off.. I dont think this convertion is 100 percent accurate.. The 750 works fine but it bogs hard every time I floor it this tells me the vacuum secondary spring is too weak for my heavy *** car. I dont run an msd box due to my engine not needing it My cam valve floats 5800-600 so what is the point of adding more weight to the car and more wiring to say I have a nice shiney box meant for hipo motors My engine with Desktop dyno says I have 380hp 390ft torqu @ 5800rpm I know that program is %80 percent on a good day so Im happy if I have 300hp 350hptrq when all said and done.. The 4:10 gear spooler in it and 3200 stall (stalls at 2500 or so woth my engine setup) is pretty decent for this car I dont know hy everyone is calling it a weak setup.. The vortec heads are nice and my cam starts to play at 2500 so my stall and the cam seem to match The Holey knock off 4010 carbs from summit is my question.. best jetting what one should I use the 600 or the 750 ?.. Im thinkin the 750 (but the power valve seems high in the front and the jetting is a tad I think Im thinkin 72 jets in the front 76 on the back for my mild engine what do you thing ? ). Soemone on here has to have built a car weighing near mine and did stuff to get it to run nice Im not asking for a 12second car this car gets enough looks and people think it has more then it does so they dont even try to race me...BEsides up here you cant race if you get caught the impounnd your car , $2000 in fine sand lose your license for 7 days...
