Hi Guys - long time no see..

I could write a book about the last nine months of my life.

Divorce, a house fire, a new Woman in my life, sold hotrods, new hotrods, old hotrods, etc....
I won't bore ya'll with the details right now since this is a hotrod gitup and not a support group. I've got a new Woman to help me with all that...

Man, I wish I had the time to sit down and PM some of you oldtimers but I've been busier'n a one-legged man in a butt kickin' contest here lately. once the dust all settle and I get back into my house, I'll come back and yak with ya'll.

Keep the faith Willys.

Later, Primemover

Its nice to see you back prime. Didn't know were you went or what happened.
I asked Bad Rat a couple weeks back and he didn't know either.
I would have stopped by but not sure were you live.
Glad to see things are going better now. Hope the fire and divorce didn't take everthing you had.

Welcome Back Prime. Last months have been hard on me as well. My back went out, I have three partially ruptured discs and spinal stenosis. Sitting at home and stairing at the walls gets real old in a real short time. I`m having a real rough time in the other aspects in my life also which don`t make it any easier. Good luck and take care.

Thanks Guys, hear'n from ya'll again is kinda like peein' my pants in a dark suit - it gives me a warm feeling and nobody notices... Just kidding - NO. You're all the greatest! No Bull.

With everybody at work on vacation lately, I've been doing seven ten hour days - sometimes twelves. Yesterday an apprentice and myself put in a new drive motor after they got done with the line and I logged ten hours at time N a half and 3 more on double time.
Shoot. At that rate, I can have Billy P. build me a new ride while I kick back and supervise.. Seriously though, I miss all the comeradery here, more than I miss my my ride.

I can build a new car - after He built ya'll, He broke the mold.

Oh I forgot - She's 45 and still kinda semi-cute. That puts me in a tough situation.. I guess I'm gonna have to get me one of those stair climber gitups and lose my spare tire.

Think I'll check Craigs List and see what they've got.

1. find that stair stepper on craigslist and use it... they say exercise gives you more energy... to go fishing, wrenching, and man stuff like that.

2. update us on the hotrod situation...

3. if anyone cares, here's the woman in my life... she's 19 yrs old. Thought I'd post a pic for kicks and giggles. She called a ~71 Chevy C10 pro street cruising around her town 'cute' before, I couldn't help but laugh at the mental pic of her behind the wheel of something like that.

LS - I slept on it last night and I decided against the stair climber.. I don't need any more exercize, besides. I get plenty of it pushin' my luck, jumping to conclusions and working my butt off. I think I'll just quit eating the crap food they stock in the machines at work. You could unplug one of those vending machines for a week and the tuna sandwiches would look just like the day they made 'em. I don't have a clue how they work that miracle.

For right now, I've sold the 53 and 54 cars and bought a 90 inch 'Boulevard' rice bike to ride durring the summer. So far, I haven't caught too much flack for not doin' the Harley thing and I really don't care if I do - I'm really not heavy off into bikes anyway. People that know me good enough, know that once I get my house whipped back into shape and get the shop all cleaned out, I'll eventually dump the scooter for another classic car - all the other bike bashers can bite me.

I've been living in the same apartment for nine months now and it's getting damn old. The fire insurance company that's handling my claim has been treating me real good but reconstruction is slower than I'd like.
The whole inside of my place is down to bare studs right now. They tore off the whole roof, half the rafters and replaced everything and it looks killer. I'm even having my clawfoot tub redone in five coats of hand rubbed white acrylic urethane with black feet. I meet with the electrician Tuesday to do the layout of all the plug-ins and service entry. The HVAC guys have already installed a new central air furnace.
More updates to follow.

LS6 - 'Cute' is kind of a girly word. Gals like yours in your pic hear it a lot and are inclined to apply it to just about everything they like. She could call my car cute anytime she wants.. I'd consider it a compliment.
She's looks like a keeper kid, but stay cool and don't rush into anything. After 33 years of bein' married, i think I'm SEMI-qualified to make that statement..
