Hi, I want to build a SBC and need help and advice please!!
Whats up guys, I just became a member to this site but I am always on here reading threads and trying to educate myself but I need some advice on which route to take.
I want to build for hp/tq but also want it to last... I am between building a 350, 383 or 400 sbc. I am not looking for crazy HP just a decent amount :mwink: I am kinda on a budget but if it takes some more saving up to do or buying my parts 1 at a time doesnt matter. Any advice and help is highly appreciated!! |
Go out and find yourself a 1996 and up Vortec 350. Have some head work done, replace the stock roller cam with a .215 duration comp roller cam, a edelbrock performer Vortec intake, stick on a Quadrajet, headers, HEI with decent rear gears and it`ll shock you at the power it`ll make.

Whats minimal head work? When ever I replace my 305(long time from now) thats the combo i am going to get but I dont know of anybody in my parts that does head work. I want some right out of the box horsepower and torque.

This is a good deal for brand new complete vortec heads that are heavier made than stock castings and ready to go right out of the box. |
