Hi guys, hows it going?
Im new here, but im afraid im not a hotrodder in the true sense, im just a tinker of old cars
ok, so i own at the moment, a 1973 toyota celica, and i live in the UK.
What ive been searching the net madly for, is some info on how much your compression is dropped when using wilder camshafts?
Basically, i went out on track and through a rod out of the side of the block! so with a lot of leg work etc. I now have a bored and stroked version of the original, with a polished head, shotpeened rods, ARP bolts, lightened f/w, Arias racing pistons.....blah blah blah.... oh and 304 cams.
After taking a dummy built engine (not an engine built by a dummy) to the machinest, we worked out that the comp was 12.42 to one, now i can lower this with a thicker head gasket, but what i havnt taken into account is the cams (because i dont know
So I was wondering if u guys might be able to help......
