Post Hi just wanted to introduce myself..

Hi gang, just wanted to say hi. My name tom. I'm new to restoring cars so i'll probably ask a dumb question from time to time. I've had a few project cars in the past that went nowhere mostly because I lacked the commitment. But then I got into Harley's (AN 82 sporty, an 84 SHOVELHEAD AND A 02 ELECT. GLIDE CLASSIC)I still have the 84 and 02 and now i would like to restore a 67 nova I got awhile back. And man does it need work.
Anyway just wanted to drop in and say hi.I look forward to you talking to you more. Tom

Hey Tom, Welcome aboard. I love 67 Novas. One of the best looking years they made. I saw one last night n the road - all black, tubbed and sounded mean. Good luck with your resto.

Welcome Tom, one of the first cars I learned to drive in was a 69 Nova four door with a 2 speed powerglide...absolutely indestructible that car...and boy did we try!

Have fun, this is a great place to hang out and BS...bring your own shovel. :p

Welcome aboard Tom, and nice choice of projects. Are you keeping the 6, or going 8? Either way, they're cool rides

Hey bonuts, thanks for the welcome.
I think I'm going to keep the 6.It's already running pretty good and money is a little tight right now.(I have two other projects going)Both Harley's #1 is an 84 shovelhead FLH,#2 is an 02 elect.glide classic.I've already done the motor work to the 84 so all thats left is paint and chrome. All I have to do to the 02 is a couple of upgrades. So what I think I'll do to the Nova is just work with what I have and get it going for as little as possible. Then make improvements as I go. Tom

That sounds like a good deal.Let me see what I can do and I will keep you posted but of course I dont expect you to hold it for me, if you get another offer by all means take it. But it does sound like something I would be interested. Tom p.s. I dont where we will be going once we are up there but I will try to get together with you. We will be there aug 10 thru 22. Tom

Sounds good! Hope it happens. FYI - There's a good size swap meet in CT this weekend on Sunday. It's at Lake Compounce in Bristol, not too far off of I-84. I'm going early. It's usually a good one to attend.

Hey, yea ill introduce myself too, my names will, im also new to the car scene, i own a 1965 472 Shelby AC cobra, the REAL deal, not one of those cheap replicas, this was the last one that was sold to the public, seeing as carrol shelby kept the first and last car of this kind produced. i recently had to sell my 1969 Shelby GT350 Hertz edition Mustang to be able to afford my Cobra. The thing with my Mustang was that mostly my friends helped me work on the car so i knew very little about it. i hope to finally scrape enough $ together to get a good digital camera and take pictures of my cobra, hopefully ill learn some new and usefull stuff along the way! thanks guys
