one of my good friends has a s10 blazer with a 4.3 approaching 425k
as for my own i think the highest milage car i ever owned was my first car 1987 dodge shaddow with a 2.2L 4cyl
had 190k on it when i got it but the one of the rings was broken so i had to tear it down and put new rings in the engine when i got rid of it it had near 250k , but thats prolly nullified since i put new rings in the engine

many of the service trucks at my place of employment have over 200k on the original drive trains. 4.3 v6/autos. Totally surprising they hold up so well considering how some guys abuse them.

One of my daily drivers is a 96 3/4 ton 4x4 chevy 6.5 turbo diesel with 266,000 miles. Starts up every time and still gets over 20 miles to the gallon even loaded up. People always talk crap about the 6.2 and 6.5 saying they are pieces of junk but they are still making them for the US military and seem to perform pretty good in a hummer with 8,000 lbs of armor.
