High output 305

Howdy folks...How can I identify if a car (86 monte CL) has the high output 305 (L69) or not? Ive been trying to get on www.montecarloss.com but it seems the site is down.

Thanks!

Look under the hood. Not sure about the 86's specificaly but the 87's came with the L69 HO motor, a special th2004r with a special high performance high stall lock up torque converter (approx 3000stall behind the 305HO) and 3.73 gearing. Uses the same HO heads as the 87 5 litre TPI camaro motor (081 castings)
The first thing thats got to go on these cars is the exhaust manifolds.

The 8th digit of the VIN will be a G if it's the HO 305.
