The highest cowl I can find is about 2 inches above the normal hood line, I need to fit in a 454 topped with a blower and try to avoid running a hood scoop type set-up. Are there any manufacturers who sell higher cowls off the shelf?

OOOOOH NNNNNNOOOOOOOOO HOODSCOOPS ON TRUCKS AHHHHHHHH...... I had to say that... anyway.. if you are good with metal you could make your own. it sounds beater but I made a hood scoop for my camaro by cutting the body line and lifting it 3 inches (you would have to lift alot more) then I cut some metal off another hood and added it to the back to give it overhang. It ends up giving you a nice wide cowl scoop that follows the origional body line (sounds beater to say you made it yourself though)

I tried www.up22.com for my hood but they said 4-6 weeks for delivery.I went with a Harwood hood from jegs they had it in stock and i had it within three days. The other good part is it is almost perfect with only a few dips in the fiberglass.
