high toque manual transmissions
i have a 68 chevelle with about 850 hp well im in the process of building one i was wondering if they made a for or 5 speed that could handle all that power for pretty cheap or should i just run the th400 or the powerglide

i really dont want to spend more than 1500 on a tranny i will if i have to but i can get a pretty good turbo 400 for like 750
|

I don't know of any performance manual transmissions for $1500 that will hold the power you have.
You could get a th400 and converter to hold it for $1500 easy.

Bert's, Brinn's, and Winter's would all be good choices. Although they will slightly stretch you limit.
