High torque mini starter noisey
I installed a high torque mini starter on my 350 and even with about 1/8 inch of shims it still sounds as if it is binding on the fly wheel. This is my first attempt at using a proform 220 should it sound like that or should I continue shimming it?

you don't need 1/8" of shims, you need 1/8" space between the bottom of the ring gear and the top of the starter teeth. You use the shims to adjust that gap to 1/8".......

Make sure you have the correct starter for your flexplate or flywheel. The number of teeth can vary.
