Higher stall torque converter = less power?
I was just wondering if a higher stall torque converter (4500-5500) eats up more power than one around 2500-3500. I'm looking at a 10" 5000 stall one, would it use up a lot of my power? Let me know, thanks.

Your converter needs to match your engine setup and vehical weight. Running a 5000stall converter on the street is not going to be very practical, not only is it hard on your engine but your going to produce poop loads of heat on your transmission. So to answer your question it doesnt eat HP, it just lets your engine get to the rpm range that it needs.
