i have highway gears in my 69 falcon--i was wondering what gear ratio i can change to to get faster pickup(maybe spin the tires once in a blue moon)--and also do i need a new rear to do that or i can i change the gears in my existing rear ?
Brian no you don't need to change the rear end,you can change gears by taking out the centersection and have somebody change gears for you,or another thing watch for a good used section to put right back in be sure same spline what your axles are.Depending if v-8 or 6 not knowing what gear you got now, maybe around 3.25 to 3.50 would wake your car up pretty good
i have a inline 6--i dont kow what gears are in it--just stock gears--anyway how much money am i looking at to do something like that?
