[Stick'n It]

O.K. Guys,
I'm sick,siCK,SICK of no Passing Power!

Had a 2.8 Multi-Port 86' Bird,
now I'm running a 2.2 95' Cavalier both 5speeds.

The shifting,(transmissions) has been great,(i will pop my eardrums with spark plugs,& shove a crankshaft up my crack before i'll own another automatic) but the engines power,(both of them) has been SADLY lacking.

I'm not a holeshot hound,with the 5speed i generally get the jump anyway,
(if i want it) It's 35mph to say 70 or more that I am most concerned about.

I'm not the least bit interested in a "In Town Tire Cooker/Cop Caller",
I need a "Highway Star".When I get on it from 3rd gear Up I want it to make telephone poles blur,instantly!

Anybody matched up any V8 SBC's to a 5speed in the past,& achieved this goal?

If so What Engine,& What Tranny?

Almost Forgot,this combo will be going into a 80's G-body.
Either an El Camino,or a Monte Carlo.
