hi

tranny is 200-4r

plz tell me where is 3rd gear spring pressure on valve body

i want to check it if was healthy then I'll stronger it than default because when i push my gas pedal to end (wot) in 3rd gear on 160 km/h ( after 150-160 km/h ) my tranny does not raise my car speed and engine goes higher rpm but speed doesn't raise than before pushing gas pedal ...

Whatever you are attempting will not work.

Does the engine RPM actually increase?

Do you have a tach?

160 kph is pretty fast anyway.

160kPh = 100mph.

Going a little quick.

Not sure what your saying. If your at 100 mph and still in third, your problem is that its not shifting to fourth.

Or, the trans is trying to go into 4th and it is neutraling out. He states "my tranny does not raise my car speed and engine goes higher rpm but speed doesn't raise than before pushing gas pedal ..." From that I think the car reaches a certain speed, and then the trans neutrals out sending the engine to a much higher rpm.

This idea that putting in a stronger spring in the valve body is going to fix it is not going to work.

How does the transmission shift, or run, during normal low to mid throttle driving? I'd think that if it is slipping in 4th under hard throttle that something is already burned in the unit and he should be seeing issues even under normal driving conditions. Unless this is something new that is just starting to happen and he has not completely fried the unit yet.

The 2004r's had a problem with the fourth gear clutches going south. Its very possible that their gone. There is only two clutches in that clutch pack. They are larger than the others, but they get a lot of hard use. If you tear it down and find them gone, you need to rebuild it so it has three clutches. Its the easiest thing to do off all the upgrades you can do to the clutches. Also, what size pump valves are you running? Starting to sound like tranny rebuild time.

i need to explain again
200-4r or 700-r4 have over drive gear

when you running with ur car in highway at 60mph then u want to increase speed to higher like 80mph, tranny steal runnig with 4th gear but after 80mph ( "example" because i forgot this point ) the tv cable pulled over than before so tranny kick down to 3rd gear

now for reaching top speed with 200-4r or 700-r4 tranny tranns use of 3rd gear so with my defrential ratio (3.15) and with 1:1 ratio of 3rd gear and 5000rpm of engine my car speed can reach to 200 kmh or 125 mph (i tested my car in past history with th350 and i was able to reach this speed ....)

so when i pushing gas pedal to raise car speed my tranny goes with 4th gear until 130-140kmh then shift down to 3rd gear then engine rpm goes higher than before at same speed

now i will continue with this 3rd gear up to 160kmh-100mph but after this point
i think 3rd clutch is weak and didn't tolerate this torque or hp
i think i must to increase spring pressure to raise oil pressure for 3rd gear to solve this problem

now can u tell me where is spring of 3rd gear clutch ?
or hlp me to solve this problem

but i think this is a problem for 3rd clutch ....

tnx for all

I don't know of any spring that is going to raise pressure. To raise pressure, your going to have to put bigger valves in the pump. Do you know what size valves you have now in the pump? My 200 4r will down shift into third, but will go into fourth and stay there after 80 mph, unless I pull it down to third manually. I'm guessing that your tranny (valve body) is not one of the performance trannys. Are you talking about changing the shift points? That can be done by putting stiffer or weaker springs in the shift valves. That is what can be done, but that takes a lot of trial and error work. You need to search the web by looking under 200 4r valve body diagram. There is one that shows the valve body and all the valves. Its done by racers to adjust individual shifts.
