Post HO drag racing

OK sofar this year I've had a disaster.n Got new headers duel exh/collector leaks & no emmissions.New tires got a flat yesterday.Replace side window busted out last year/some @ssHole breaks my windshield.Flexplate breaks, new motor doesn't have pistons I was told it had, rear end developes slopp.Oh and did I mention when I blead the brakes the master cylinder popped. So I need a break from the "little shop of horrors"I call my Hi-po car.I was up at my uncles house and we got talkin bout HO cars. How much cheaper they are than real cars Ha-Ha etc... Well one thing lead to another and now were gonna build a 1/64 scale 1/8 mi drag strip.Organizing classes stock, super stock, mod, outlaw, funny car with our rules based on NHRA.Hopefully we'll get four or five guys in on it. Now my question is any of you electrically inclined guys Know how we can rig up a low voltage tree and win light?
P.S.(I'm not affraid to look like a moron playing w/ toys)

hey, it sounds like fun. imagine building an electric motor like the aa/fuelers do it, one pass and it's done, blown up! lightning fast, one pass, pop in another for the next round....crazy fun. get this going good, start a franchise of them, get one out here in ca. so i can play too.

Slot cars ain't like I remember them.I found a Hi-Po motor for $50 on line.I remember when the $15 car w/ the 0.99 set of foam slicks, and the special brushes was the hot setup.
