I recently was prepping the floor of my 57 Fairlane for primer , the floors are in good shape for a 57 , only a few minor rust spots, but I have noticed these diamond shaped holes in the floor that are factory produced, when I crawl under the car there are little tabs sticking down , I used my body hammer to tap them back up and I am going to mig them up , there must be about 9 or 10 of them between the front and back , also there are 2 floor plugs on the drivers side and 2 on the passenger side plus one on each side in the rear footwells. Is it any wonder these cars rusted the way they did!

Has anybody welded these holes up including the plug holes??
