Holley 750 double pumper

I installed a brand new Holley 750 on my sbc350. Idle was a little high. I messed with the electric choke and that helped a lot. I messed with the idle screw and did almost nothing. Then I realized that my throttle although it looks like it is returned all the way , it is not. If i put a little pressure on it idles great. So i picked up a throttle return spring. The spring is pretty taught, but it is still not enough pressure on the throttle to correct idle. I noticed that the throttle is effected by the pump spring adjustment. being that I only needed a very small amount of adjustment I eased up the lock nut on the little red spring so that the throttle would drop down 1/16 " or so and solve the problem. It did not. Now what?

Are the throttle plates centered in the bores? Sometimes they bind, not closing all the way. If that's not the problem is the throttle adjustment screw hung up on the high idle cam?
