Holley Baseplate Screws

Im thinking about swapping out the main body on my 750DP this weekend with a Proform piece I picked up from a friend. I've been told I should use an ever so small amount of loctite on the threads of the baseplate screws. Which loctite should I use? I know theres super strong stuff and not so strong stuff but I cant remember which is which.

Blue (loctite 242) is medium strength, red(loctite 262) is high strength. I'd use the blue, as you may need to take it apart again, and aluminium is not compatible with the 400*+ to get the red stuff to let go.

agreed. the blue loctite will let loose with a screwdriver... but it'll be rough, wont shake lose on ya thats for sure. you put the red on it and you might as well throw the carb away if you ever have to rebuild it cuz the screws wont come out.
