Holley Carb/supercharger Question

I am installing a 144 blower on my chevy 350 and I had a question regarding the carb. I understand that the carb must have a boost referenced power valve, but is there anyway to convert a non blower carb to this set up? I have a 1 year old holley carb that I am very happy with, and I hate to have to replace it at a cost of $470. Thanks! Also, are there any Edelbrock carbs for blowers, I cant find any specifically noted for it in my catalogs.

re: Holley Carb/supercharger Question

You can do some modifications to your carb to boost reference the power valve, but it does require that you remove the throttle body from the carb. Basically, you plug off the passage in the throttle body that feeds the power valve. Then drill a hole through the side of the throttle body that intersects the original passage, and insert a small tube that you can hook a line to. There is a book, I think it is Super Tuning and Modifying Holley Carbs, that covers how to do it. You might be able to find info on the net, too.
