Holley choke set screw

I have one of the externally referenced electric chokes. There is a small set screw at the front of the choke assembly that goes into the vacuum pull off chamber where the piston is. The set screw looks just like one of the ones for the idle mixture adjustment on the metering blocks, only it sits flush into the choke. It comes to a point and looks like it possibly controls the amount of vacuum pull off.

This set screw is interfering with the choke pull off at warm up. It won't allow my choke plate to open smoothly. Does anyone know exactly what the set screw is for, or what the correct baseline adjustment is?
