Holley throttle body

Has anyone had any experience with these. What I have is a 350 with a Holley Pro-Jection intake and a Holley throttle body. I am dropping this into my '93 Silverado in lieu of the 4.3, From some of the people I hear the 350 is a direct drop in and all I have to do is hook up the wiring harness, from others I hear, use the wiring haness that I salvaged from the truck the engine came out of, use the stock computer, use the salvaged computer, etc, etc, etc. OK...here is my dilema...I figured out that I have to keep my '93 wiring harness due to the fact that it is needed to operate the trans correctly. But what I need to know is, and I have heard from two others that the Holley TB is not very compatable with the stock computer. Something about the OE injecters being digital and the Holley being analog. Is this true or am I just getting my leg pulled because some people are partial to something other than a Holley. Also if anyone has used the Holley throttle body and Pro-Jection intake what did you do about the EGR valve? Mine does not even come close to fitting. Hopefully someone out there has used this combo or know someone that has. THe engine is in the truck finally. Now all I have to do is get the air and power steering unit back on the brackets, then tackle the huge wiring mess. Looks like it's going to be cut and splice.

Kevin,a buddy of mine put an EARLY model Pro-Jection on his 305 powered 85 Regal. He had alot of problems out of it.He eventually swapped the whole thing, intake and all for a Perforemr and a Carter carb.I never touched it,except to swap out the intakes whenhe traded,so I do not know what his exact problems were.It has been several years and barely remember much about it.But like I said,it was an early model system.
