Holly 3310 Question

The secondary float bowl is a center float and on the inside is a plate with 6 or 7 clutch screws. The question is there is a gasket under this plate which seals the float bowl and this plate, it that correct?
In the past(on other carbs.) I have removed the bowl and the plate that was in there, and there was a spacer and gasket and then a float bowl gasket which is correct?
I just bought this carb and it is used and I am cleaning it and changing the jets and power valve.
Thanks

I've rebuilt a few of these and to be honest I've seen them come through both ways with and without that gasket. I always send them out with the gasket and haven't had any complaints.

There are metal plates along with the metering plates on some of the 4160s. I have seen the small gaskets on all of them.

It will vary depending upon when the carburetor was manufactured some had the gasket/shim plate there while others did not. You can run the gasket/shim plate on models that did not come that way, but if the carburetor was originally set up that way, and you remove it, it can cause the rear float bowl to drain down into the engine.
