Holly 650 jet size

meant to put holley 650...anyways i have a 358 sbc with an edelbrock rpm air gap, mild cam, stock heads and curious to know what jet size to use. currently has 77 primary and 85 secondary. 6000 max rpm. use smaller jets in both but doesnt run right.

post the complete engine specs and carb model list number and power valve.
stock metering blocks or fubared. ( blocked power valve or....)
the normal range of jetting for a 650 holley with a power valve is 65 to 71 pri and 67 to 78 sec.
A blocked power valve will require 6 to 10 jets bigger. ( a bad idea)

lack of fuel system flow volume @ WOT. a vacuum leak.

how did you arrive at such unusual big jetting? AFR meter, drag strip testing? It feels good.

The details matter.

Its not your motor. why not let your friend and his builder sort it all out.
The jetting is highly unusual for a 650.

Unfortunately both have very little knowledge about tuning a carb. Myself included
