Post Home-made english wheel?

I think I seen plans for this somewhere...don't recall where.

Wondering if anyone has any ideas for fabricating your own. I was thinking that perhaps a weight-plate milled to accept bearings might function as the actual wheel in this setup.

Post re: Home-made english wheel?

I made my first one, will make a new one soon. It can be made a few different ways depending on your wallet and know-how. The basic frame can be made by anyone, its the anvils that would require the how to. You can get them made by a local machine shop or buy them pre-made. Don't try to make them yourself unless your a machinist because they won't come out right and all your panels will be wapped to be some-what polight.
