 Try finding some old issues of Popular Hotrodding from the 80's, I think, they had plans to home build one. Might be able to find it looking through back issues in EBay, most descriptions list the contents.

I think Car Craft did that about 1973. I bought those plans from them about 10 years ago and built the bench. It worked fine. Call the big magazine companys and ask them they will reprint that stuff for you for a few $$$$.
