HOMEMADE Oval exhaust

Messed around with making oval pipes for an engine swap project I am doing.
Used 2 bars that I have that are different sizes. Next time I'll cut a bar so the part comes out equal on both sides.
I slowly heated and pulled with the engine hoist at the same time I hammered
the pipe. Came out o.k.

Ideas/thoughts/questions welcome!

you can buy oval pipes. good for clearance issues.round pipes usually flow better because exhaust swirls when traveling

Buying oval, true! Dr.Gas? Anyway I need only a small amount and I have plenty of round pipe at home.
More time than money.
Flow is not as important as fit in this application. Stock 2000 Explorer 5.0.
Been a fun project.

I was tempted to post a "why bother. Just buy it" post but looking at it if u strapped one end down and pulled the other you could make transitions any size you need...

Honestly I've done stuff like that before but always cut lengthwise and welded flat pieces in. Probably better for flow but also significantly more work
