Honda Civic auto-5spd swap. worth getting into?

My brother's '93 Nissan quit running right last month where it stalls/ floods under any load, and has a long crank start. I went thru it a bit. changed busted distributor connector with a 4 pin molex from a power supply ( pins are same spacing ), cleaned distributor, checked codes ( code 34/ knock sensor ) and went thru the internet problems and still no dice...

Anyway, 3 weeks ago he bought a decent 1992 Civic DX with A/T. Trans blew up yesterday, and it's totally locked up where it will not move in neutral and the shift linkage is binding.

I checked the prices, and an auto will run $250 + probably 5-6hrs at a shop and I don't have to do anything, but of course he wants a 5spd. Found 1 locally at a yard I use a lot for $150, but I know new clutch, CV's and all the parts from a donor. I know a shop is not going to touch the conversion,

Well, looks like I won't have to do anything to this car.. He bought the car off of the local Ford dealers owner as he consigns cars personally for extra money ( outside of the dealership ). Owner will do the tow and put in a trans at cost, or work something else out for another vehicle on his lot.. The dealer has always been pretty good. Tiny place that has been around since the 50's, and he only sells enough new to keep the franchise.
