As long as you don't get a high rise intake you'll be fine. I have a holley contender high rise manifold on my 350 in a 78 firebird and it doesn't fit. Still haven't decided what i'm going to do with it. But yea, get a low rise and you're good.

i have the performer eps rite now, and my engine dynoed on the desk top @ 357hp and 406tq, we did the intake swap to the performer rpm and it made 60 more hp! so i was wondering if my hood will clear on ether of the ones that i mentioned?....Hell i may look into a 4" cowl hood....

If you get the 4" cowl you might as well add a 1" spacer under the carb and add a little more HP for cheap.

You're seeing the same thing I'm seeing on the software dyno, at least 40 hp gain from the taller dual-plane intake.

Hood??? We don't need no stinkin' hood. Take a Sawzall to it. Make room.

You could also use a drop-base air filter assembly, but make certain that the lid of the assembly doesn't smother the top of the carb.
