Hi guys, I’m trying to find some good pictures or some one that can help me with NASCAR type hood hinges.

dont have any idea but they wouldnt work with anything but a nascar hood as the springs would be to light for metal or glass hoods and so the hood wouldn't stay up.

Thanks for you concern bullheimer, but my hood has no springs to hold it up(much like the NASCAR hoods). So they are some things other than NASCAR that they would on.

In the last couple months in Hot Rod Mag, there have been several articles about a company selling used NASCAR engine parts. Wanta bet they can help you out as well?

John Boy,
Check out some of the new vehicles on the lots. They have lightweight hinges and use the small gas charged cylinders like other cars and SUV's use on tailgates and trunks. These may be able to be adapted to your car. The new Ford F-150's have an aluminum hood and use this setup.
