Hood latch 1978 pacer
HELP 1978 pacer woody wagon the hood latch is broken is there a trick to get it open ? slim jim unbolt hood hinges ? thanks steve

Steve, you'll have to remove the grill to access the latching mechanism.
If it's a cable release system, you might be able to reach up from the bottom, cut the cable and pull the wire to open the latch......

Ok, I'll bite, I am not sure but you may be able to get a long extension thru the grille to unbolt the latch. The hinges are just about out, I don't remember (having only worked on two Pacers in my life) but unless it is VERY different from just about every car made, there is no way to get to the hinge bolts. If I knew where one was at the wreckers or something I would go check it out for you but I don't know where to find one! Brian
