I haven't tried any repro hoods (I assume that's a repro hood and fender?). I've put on some repro 60-66 chevy truck fenders and the fit varies a LOT on each one I have used. IMO it would be difficult to build a show truck from the repro 60-66 stuff...too much cutting & rewelding for me. I have had a problem with the front tip of the 60-66 fenders not curved correctly.
Just this week I had a hood to fender problem on our 69 dart with a GTS bulge hood. The drivers side had a big problem, as the middle of the hood edge, halfway between the front & back was raised up 1/2". I almost wanted to put the hood on the floor and step down on the edge
I ended up using a 1/2" thick 4x4 angle iron about 5 feet long under the hood edge and then a big C-clamp with a long block of wood on the top side. It worked slick, but my hood has a better spot to be able to do that, compared to your hood.
You could tell if the hood is bent wrong by making a cardboard tracing of the curve from front-to-back, then cut the cardboard to the line and the compare it to the side that fits good? I was going to do that, but I knew the hood was bent, not the fender.
Off the subject, but yesterday was spent with a bottle jack in the trunk to push up on the rear deck metal at the front of the rear trunk lid to get the lid to start to get close to fitting.
