hood scoop

i want to make a hood scoop but i am not sure what material i should use. is there any material that would be the best or should i use or doesnt it matter.

could i build it out of thin sheet metal like aluminum or steel?

Yes you can make a hood scoop out of steel or aluminum. If the hood is steel make the scoop out of steel and if it is aluminum make it from aluminum. Further information on working with steel and aluminum can be found here. http://www.metalmeet.com/

You could probably do a bit more wild shapes with fiberglass. At least I know I could do more that way with my limited skills.

I play with fiberglass all day.. SUPER easy... If you want to go that way let me know...
