Which hood??.Scoop or cowl??.

Which hood,in your opinion,for a 1/8 mile Malibu 7.50 drag only car is more effective??. Thanks.Oh yeah,looks don't matter to me,just what works best is all that counts.Thanks.

how tall of a scoop or cowl? Old pro-stock snorkel type or modern pro-stock type scoop?

If its drag race only , i like the prostock in the pic ...if you make a pan off the carb , glue some foam to it so it seals when the hood is shut it would help keep the air to the engine. Like the seal on a cowl induction hood as on the 69 camaros and 70 chevelles.

Keep in mind , you should still have some form of a breather so you dont suck any dirt or foan into the carb !

i had a cowl induction hood on mine and ran low 10s.

What engine are you using for a drivetrain n how fast to you hope to go ?
Malibus are great cars , good weight transfer and easy to make go fast toys...Have fun .

Go for the Cowl. I don't think the aerodynamics are worth much at this speed, and I bet the cowl will be easier to see around. I'm planning on a 4" Glasstek cowl as money allows.
