hood spring installer

looking for tool to install hood springs on 1973 javelin amc.

If these are normal coiled tension springs and you have a way to extend them you can place spacers between the coils when extended then place on car and carefully slide out spacers. BE CAREFUL!

It makes me want to cry when I think of how complicated people make this very simply job. Not picking on you, understand, I have just seen such goofy stuff about installing springs.

I just installed the springs on my Gran Sport, newly painted body, newly powder coated hinges and springs. I put the springs on with one hand and VERY little effort, I literally did it with one hand while the other hand held the extra chain from falling on my newly painted inner fenders and such.

It is THAT easy.
