Is your distributor a PC-800 as you stated or a PC-8000 series?

I have a ProComp # 7001 distributor. The Red wire from the distributor goes to the (+) terminal of the external coil. The Black wire from the distributor goes to the (-) terminal of the external coil.

I am not using a MSD box but the wiring diagram in the link provided by RPM should help.

If you need parts or info for the ProComp electronics distributor go to the Company Reviews on this site and look up my review of ProComp Electronics. Contact Greg at JMS Racing Engines.
