Horn hookup

Hello. I have a Grant Signature 714 steering wheel on an Ididit steering column. I finally bought a horn (two wire) for it. This is on a 36 Ford pickup. In the instructions it says "For two wire horn systems the horn button must not be grounded and modification shown below must be done (cut part of horn button spring that would normally be in contact with horn contact ring). Then simply attach one wire lead to each terminal on back of horn button". I don't have two wires coming out of steering column for horn button. I only have one. There are two terminals on the back of the horn button. One in the center and one to off center with a ground simbol on it. Can anyone tell me where this second wire comes from. I have included a diagram of how I wired it. The pink wire (86) from the relay goes to the column plug in connector to the black horn wire. The diagram shows two horns but I only using one. Thank you

The pink wiring you show running to relay terminal 86 needs to be a constant 12v power source from the fuse panel. Connect the black wire from the horn button/column plug to relay terminal 85, this will complete the ground connection to activate the relay when you press the horn button on the column.

I would ground the horn itself to some convenient spot near the horn location and not run the horn ground back to the relay as shown in your sketch. Also, the horn ground wire should be the same gauge as the horn power wire from relay terminal 30, at least 14 gauge.

This is how I'd wire it.
