Horsepower!

Does anyone know how to get more horsepower for a 239 Flathead V8 that is cheap?

Any typical mods would apply.
Buy/regrind a performance cam.Mill the heads for compression.Have the block ports ported,multi angle valve job.Headers,intake,rework(jets etc..)carbs.
Do a google search for flathead parts or hit the swap meets.
