uh thats pretty broad.... its not an l65 pos chevy 350. engine came out of a police nova.

vinniekq2 01-01-2013 03:45 AM

maybe as high as 300 if well tuned? how many gallons per hour at wide open?

BMFZZ502 01-01-2013 05:12 AM

The part number is under the valve cover to verify vortec heads. The engine could make 250-320 depending on heads and cam.

185 stock..

you might have 230 depending how much your 3rd gen exhaust kills it.

What answer can we give that will make you happy? 150 to 500 means that you need to run it down the track and put it on a dyno to know for sure. The rest is just guessing.

Heads do not look like vortex . Vortex have only eight bolts for the intake

Plaintoast 01-01-2013 11:00 AM

those are not vortec heads, wrong intake and wrong valve covers.

rebel101150 01-01-2013 12:33 PM

probably not vorte heads. gonna pull the top off and try and figure it out. it has at least 300 hp. I know that one for a fact, i have a 72 chevelle as well and with its modifications comes out to about the same amount of power. I have to get it dyno'd. the chevelle is 320 right now

bygddy 01-02-2013 05:36 PM

Which heads?
Which ede intake?
Which summit cams and why are there 2?
Stock bottom end?
Don't recall Nova cop cars....and Im pretty versed in cop cars....
So really......150-500 seems like a reasonable answer without the info needed.

C

X makes vortex....which is when you get home at 2am smelling like rye and strippers and your wife starts yelling....and you get trapped....in the vortex...

just took a simple google search. I bought the car with these specs and it's pretty damn quick considering the frame is only 2800 pounds or so, so considering my old 100 horsepower civic does 0-60 in 8 seconds stock, then it explains why this car is so damn quick.

bygddy,we had the 400 cube nova police cars here in BC.I worked at Firestone back then. We were selling the f-70-14 raised black wall tires for $30.00 retail when the cops dropped the nova contract with GM.
The tires had a crappy TPC tread design.
