I have read a lot of conflicting info on the installation of an 84 Mustang Power Rack with a GM pump. Could someone who has done this swap please help me out? I need the following info; Do I need to reduce the pressure from the GM pump? What is the best way to do this? Does anyone out there supply a hose kit for this installation? What are the fitting/port sizes on the Rack and also on the GM pump?

Many companies sell the hose kits, try Speedway motors, CPP, Heidts, Fatman Fabrications or one of the hose specialty places like Earls, Russel, or Aeroquip.


Heidts sells a pressure reduction block that you can plumb in at installation, and adjust as you see fit. They sell it with fittings to work with the braided SS hose.

All it really does is byass some of the pressure from the high pressure side hose into the return side hose. But it works.
